Ways to Go Green:

Bottles - Bisphenol-A (BPA) is a chemical compound sometimes found in plastic products, cosmetics and even foods. Studies suggest links between BPA and developmental problems, reproductive issues or carcinogenic effects. Parents should discard any polycarbonate plastic baby bottles, especially ones that are scratched or worn because they can leach chemicals into liquids. Look for (BPA)-free labeling on plastic bottle or use glass baby bottles. Popular green options include glass bottles by Babylife, Evenflo, and Born Free.

Clothing & Bedding- Clothes or baby bedding marked organic usually means they are grown or processed free of pesticides, artificial fertilizers, radiation, genetic modification, or synthetic additives.. By limiting exposure your baby may be less likely to experience irritated skin or rashes.

Diapers- The average baby uses 8-10 diapers a day. Last year more than 18 billion diapers went into landfills in America. Cloth diapers reduce the amount of landfill waste and are making a comeback. Today’s cloth diapers are easy to fit and have convenient Velcro or snap closures. They are made from eco-friendly fabrics like organic cotton. Many even have disposable inserts. If you don’t want to go down the cloth diaper route, then choose chlorine-free disposable diapers. The chlorine-free materials keeps your baby dry, reduces the risk of diaper rash, and are biodegradable .
