Russian Adoptions: Still Ongoing

It is a relief to many people world wide to know that they are still able to bring home a piece of their family from Russia. Russian adoptions are still ongoing as of today - and have not ceased as some news reports have stated.

It is highly sensitive right now, and even though a proposal was presented to the US by the Russians, an official agreement could be months away. And according to CNN -

"....one possible provision of a new U.S.-Russia agreement would allow earlier and more frequent sharing of information both before and after adoptionsand after adoptions...."

At the end of the day it all boils down to what is best for the children. Russia, is in the current state of having five times more documented orphans than the US and Europe [see post] - Choosing to bring a Russian child into your family is a wonderful and fulfilling gift.
